Levein praise for Terrors
12 Jan 2009 - 07:25:53
Dundee United manager Craig Levein praised his side's professional display after they dismissed East Stirling 4-0 in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
Prince Buaben, Darren Dods, Jon Daly and teenage striker Johnny Russell were all on the mark for the Terrors in a comfortable victory at Ochilview.
"This was always going to be a difficult game," claimed Levein.
"On paper it looks easy and everyone expects us to win, but we didn't slip up and we were very professional.
"All credit to the lads for getting us through to the next round.
"I felt we let the tempo drop when we got in front as if that was enough but 1-0 is never enough, so I really was having a go at them because I felt we eased off after a fantastic start.
"But we picked it up again and it was no coincidence that when we did we got a second and third goal.
"And we were very professional in the second half. We passed the ball well and created opportunities."
