Levein pleased with Robertson

Dundee United boss Craig Levein is pleased with midfielder David Robertson's progress for the Terrors this season.

The 22-year-old has made a reputation as being a potent goal threat from the centre of the park, finding the net during the 2-2 weekend draw at Aberdeen.

Levein told The Courier: "David does really well to put himself in the right position to convert chances.

"Invariably he hits the target when he gets the opportunity, he just has the knack. His strength is getting into the box and getting on the end of things.

"Therefore, he will score more goals than others because of the way he plays as a midfielder.

"As for the other elements of his game, he is making gradual improvements, because he does not want to be known just as a midfielder who makes runs into the box.

"So he is working hard on the other aspects of his game and I would say he is making progress."
