Dundee United manager Craig Levein was happy to secure another three points against St Mirren on Sunday, although he admitted his side had not played particularly well in the 1-0 victory.
It was the Terrors' third win in four games since Levein was appointed manager at Tannadice, and the former Hearts and Leicester City boss is pleased with the way his side are grinding out the results.
"We weren't great but neither were St Mirren, "he said. "Both teams were well organised and worked hard in terms of stopping the other from playing.
"Every game I send a team out on to a park I want them to play football. It didn't happen today but what thrilled me was winning.
"We dug out a result which was ugly and horrible - whatever you want to call it - but I don't give a toss as we got the points."
