Levein pleased for Daly

Dundee United manager Craig Levein praised Jon Daly after the injury-prone Terrors star netted a late goal in Sunday's dramatic 2-1 win against Celtic.

Daly scored the equaliser at Tannadice before Darren Dods grabbed a last-gasp winner.

Levein said after the win: "I'm delighted for the fans. I feel that we've got a strong squad. It's a long hard season and we need more players if we're going to keep this going.

"I don't think we played that well today. In the last third both sets of players didn't really fire on both cylinders.

"Jon Daly has played 30 minutes of football in the last eight or nine months.

"I had him on the bench in case we needed another defender. He's a smashing lad, he has had so many injuries since he has been here."
