    Levein lauds Terrors display

    17 Sep 2007 - 11:31:19

Dundee United head coach Craig Levein was delighted with his side's performance in the 2-0 win over St Mirren which lifted the Terrors up to third place in the SPL.

Goals from Noel Hunt and Jordan Robertson helped see off the Buddies, with Levein telling The Courier: "I was thrilled with the way we went about our business.

"It took us a long time to break St Mirren down and we had to be patient.

"This was a game a lot of people expected us to win and in the past Dundee United have not followed through with the expectation placed on them.

"The icing on the cake was the clean sheet and going forward we could have had four or five goals. All round it was a decent performance and I know we can get better.

"However, it is difficult to tell until after the first round of games where you sit in the overall strength of the league.

"So the position might change and it's not something I am getting excited about at this moment in time."
