Levein fires Gomis warning
08 Dec 2009 - 13:59:31
Dundee United midfielder Morgaro Gomis has been urged by manager Craig Levein to learn from his sending-off against St Mirren last weekend.
Gomis was red-carded for hitting out at Steven Thomson when the Terrors were 2-0 ahead at Tannadice, leaving Levein's side to hang on for another three points.
"I'm not complaining about the sending-off because Morgaro said he did retaliate," Levein admitted.
"He's a young boy and he needs to learn at some point. He's not somebody who, if you look through his record, gets sent off.
"He's tenacious and he's a good football player and he got caught. There's a chance that in future that it'll happen to him again.
"Somebody will try to noise him up. The big thing is to be able to rise above it - he didn't this time and he'll learn from it."
