Dundee United manager Craig Levein thought his side deserved to beat SPL leaders Rangers on Sunday after leading three times.
However, Walter Smith's side hit back to salvage a 3-3 draw at Tannadice with Kris Boyd grabbing their third equaliser.
"I thought we were the better team but Rangers were clinical in their finishing and they were a threat at set-pieces," said Levein.
"But in open play that's as good as we've played in a while. We passed the ball well and were brave in possession. We created chance after chance. We play as well as that and Rangers still pegged us back.
"The longer we go together the better we become. We passed the ball to death at times in midfield. We were opening Rangers up but maybe just lacked that bit of composure in the first half in front of goal.
"Although we drew the game and lost three goals, give me this any time rather than a boring 0-0."
