Houston sets sights on Celtic

Dundee United manager Peter Houston has set his sights on ousting Celtic from second place in the Scottish Premier League table.

The Terrors moved to within five points of the Bhoys following Monday's 1-0 win at St Johnstone.

Striker Jon Daly struck seven minutes from time and afterwards Houston revealed he was looking upwards rather than over his shoulder.

"We are eight points clear (of fourth-placed Hibs) now. Yes, you look behind us, but you also look forward as well," he said.

"We'll have a wee pop at it, see what happens and take each game as it comes.

"I'm delighted with the three points. I knew it would be a hard-fought match.

"I felt we coped quite well with what they had to throw at us. I thought defensively we were magnificent.

"I thought we merited the win."
