Houston loves that Friday feeling

Peter Houston admits he prefers to play on a Friday, as Dundee United prepare or tomorrow night's visit of Kilmarnock.

“Friday night football is better than playing on a Sunday," said the Tannadice boss.

“I’ve always thought a night game creates a better atmosphere. It gets some punters out because they maybe have the weekend to spend with their families.

“The Friday night we had against Ross County earlier in the season got more of a crowd in and the atmosphere was good.

“For me, if it’s a game on a Friday night rather than a Sunday afternoon then I’d take that every time.”
