Griffin handed Terrors deal

Dundee United star Danny Griffin has been offered a new one-year deal by manager Ian McCall.

The Northern Ireland defender has endured an injury-plagued time but has been given the chance to show the Terrors boss his true worth.

"There was real interest in Danny from three or four clubs in England and a couple in Scotland," said McCall.

"I know that for a fact because I know quite a few agents.

"We asked a lot of Danny to come back into the side towards the end of the season because he had been out so long through injury. But what we saw wasn't the real Danny Griffin - we know that and Danny knows that.

"This one-year deal gives him the chance to get back to his best again."
