Dundee United defender Lee Wilkie sees no reason why he shouldn't continue to get on the scoresheet after heading the only goal of the game in the CIS Cup success at Falkirk on Tuesday.
The Scotland international grabbed the all-important goal on the hour after also finding the net in Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Gretna.
Wilkie told the Courier: "Every time we've come here over the past year we've had a doing, so it was great to get not only a win but also a clean sheet.
"I also think this result shows the progress we've made as a team. Before we were coming to places like this and losing four or five. Now we're capable of digging in and getting 1-0 wins.
"Since coming to United I've been disappointed with my lack of goals. With my height I should be more of a threat at set-pieces and the manager has been on at myself and others to make more of a scoring contribution.
"That's two in two now and, although I wouldn't put money on my getting a third this weekend, that's good for the confidence."
