Flood aims for impact
21 Jun 2007 - 14:19:05
New Dundee United signing Willo Flood is aiming to use his season-long loan stay at Tannadice to kick-start his career.
Flood, 22, started only five games for Championship side Cardiff City last season following his summer move from Manchester City and is looking forward to playing more regularly with the Terrors.
"I want to play week-in, week-out and hopefully Dundee United will give me the chance," he said.
"They have some big games against the likes of Celtic, Rangers, Hearts and Hibernian.
"My aim is to show how good I am while I am with Dundee United. To prove I am still a decent player.
"When you are in and out of a team as I was with Cardiff City you start to doubt your ability.
"I have two more years left on my contract and maybe I will be back with Cardiff and playing in the new stadium. That would be fine."
