Draw leaves Levein downcast
05 Nov 2008 - 08:44:29
Dundee United manager Craig Levein admitted that some of his players were gutted by conceding a late equaliser in a 3-3 draw against Rangers at Ibrox.
A Francisco Sandaza double and one from Scott Robertson had put the Terrors on course for a famous victory, only for Kevin Thomson to strike for the Gers in the final minute.
Levein commented: "It feels like we lost 3-3 if that's possible. I'm disappointed, that's my over-riding feeling at this moment in time.
"Things may change when I have a chance to analyse the match and have a look at the performance. But we were winning the match with minutes to go, so I feel disappointed.
"The players are frustrated, some are angry and others are just disappointed.
"They are all gradually growing in confidence and they are all absolutely gutted that they didn't win this match."
