Daly injury boost for Terrors

Dundee United striker Jon Daly could be back in action from a serious knee ligament injury six months ahead of schedule.

Daly was expected to be sidelined for much of the new season after picking up a cruciate knee ligament injury back in April.

"I've picked up the rehab now and I'm looking to be back at the end of September or the middle of October at the latest," revealed the striker.

"It's a lot quicker than expected. When it first happened there was talk of being out for a year so I could be looking at being six months ahead of schedule."
