Conway in race against time
01 Aug 2007 - 10:58:19
Dundee United boss Craig Levein is hopeful that Craig Conway will have recovered from a thigh injury in time to feature in the season opener against Aberdeen.
The Terrors manager has also admitted that David Proctor, who spent time on loan with Airdrie United last term, could be leaving Tannadice on a temporary basis again this season to gain more first-team experience.
"Conway's had a slight thigh strain, but it's not too serious," Levein told the Dundee Courier.
"I'm hoping he's back training on Friday and he's a naturally fit lad anyway who's had a good pre- season. David Proctor's situation hasn't changed in the slightest.
"If the opportunity arose for him to go out on loan then that's something I'd definitely consider.
"But at the moment he's working away hard and we've no problem with that."
