Dundee United boss Craig Brewster has told Derek McInnes, Paul Ritchie and David Fernandez that they can leave the club in the summer.
Terrors skipper McInnes and Scotland international defender Ritchie both have another 12 months left on their current deals, while Fernandez is under contract for another two years.
However, Brewster is looking to stamp his own mark on the Tannadice squad for next term and is expected to allow further players to leave the club at the end of the season.
"The situation is I've got to get players out before I can get new ones in," Brewster confirmed.
"I know what needs to be done but it's easy saying that, carrying it out is the hard bit because we have so many players still under contract.
"There is going to be a lot of wheeling and dealing this summer."
