We won't slacken off - Houston

Dundee United may already be guaranteed European football next season, but manager Peter Houston has warned his players not to ease off.[LNB] Although Houston has issued that directive, he is confident it would not have been an issue anyway as the players still believe they can catch Celtic for second place.[LNB]Neil Lennon's stuttering side visit Tayside on Sunday and United know a victory would put them back in the hunt for a slot in the Champions League.[LNB]Houston said: "We've got four big games coming up, Celtic, Rangers, Hearts and Hibs. There's a definite feelgood factor around the place with so much to look forward to.[LNB]"But I'm a great believer that you can never take your foot off the gas and think the work is done. We want to go into the cup final on a decent run of form.[LNB]"That is our target and I've spoken to the players to try and keep that going between now and Hampden.[LNB]"I don't need to say an awful lot to them to be honest, because when you tell them something you don't usually have to tell them twice. They're a great bunch of lads.[LNB]"And we've probably still got another point to get to officially make third spot in the league our own.[LNB]"But it's a fantastic points tally we've reached so far, eclipsing that of last season."[LNB]United will lose Morgaro Gomis to suspension for the final two matches of the season but Houston is pleased about that because it gives the Senegal international a rest ahead of the cup final on May 15.[LNB]Of more concern, though, is Danny Swanson, who is just one booking away from a ban.[LNB]Houston added: "We'll look at the whole situation with regards to Sunday. Gomis is out for the last two games because of suspension but it's not a disaster.[LNB]"At least it gives him an enforced rest. The other we've got to be careful about is Danny Swanson.[LNB]"Another yellow card would put him out for a couple of games as well but, at the same time, I don't want to hold people back for the sake of worrying about suspensions.[LNB]"I've not decided on the team yet and whether or not to freshen things up big style.[LNB]"But I'll probably just play Danny as he's on a good run of form and wouldn't want to miss out on anything the way he's been playing."
