Dundee goalkeeper Derek Soutar has signed a new two-year deal at Dens Park to end rumours of a summer exit from the club.
The 24-year-old had been targeted by a number of clubs in England, but has opted to stay with Jim Duffy's side until the summer of 2007.
After confirming the deal, Duffy commented: "Derek has been an important player for us this season and is still developing his game. His decision to stay shows that this club has a strong future.
"He had the chance to move elsewhere, but had a long hard think to himself and decided that money is not the only important thing in life.
"It's very refreshing to see players think like that in this day and age."
