Robertson relishing chance to start

Dundee United's Scott Robertson insists a start against Hibernian would mean almost just as much to him as playing in the Scottish Cup final.[LNB] The Scotland international midfielder has spent the last 18 months struggling with injury but has made his comeback into Peter Houston's side in recent weeks.[LNB]With Morgaro Gomis banned for Sunday's visit of Hibs, who drew 6-6 at Motherwell in midweek, Robertson is likely to be handed an all-too-rare starting berth.[LNB]The ex-Dundee man has already said he does not expect to be involved other than from the bench at Hampden so is viewing this weekend's game as his biggest game of the season.[LNB]Robertson said: "I'm just happy to be back playing again after everything that's happened over the last year and a bit.[LNB]"At the moment I'm just building myself back up and playing against Hibs will be another step in the right direction.[LNB]"I know myself that I won't be 100% again until after the summer. I'll need a pre-season to really get up to speed again.[LNB]"So I know all I can hope for is getting on the bench at Hampden but even that would be a boost considering I thought my season was over not that long ago.[LNB]"Right now, getting through the Hibs game is more important and I'll think about the final next week when it comes round."[LNB]United face a Hibs side who know they need to win to ensure a place in Europe but Robertson insists that even though the final is in everyone's thoughts they will be up for the battle as usual.[LNB]He said: "Hibs' result the other night was unbelievable, we knew there was something going on even during our game against Hearts.[LNB]"I couldn't believe they'd been 6-2 up and I'm sure they won't believe they only got a draw either.[LNB]"But that means they will be even more desperate to win against us on Sunday.[LNB]"Although we've got the final on the horizon, the lads are buzzing and we want to go into it on the back of a win."
