At Dens today Dundee's cash woes continued today when it was confirmed that DFC had failed to pay their employees their wages.The pay saga has affected all the staff and is linked to the tax man's £365.000 bill. Team boss Gordon Chisholm told the players the situation after a meeting with Harry MacLean.The statement was was released shortly after 1pm confirming no staff had been paid and that they hoped the situation would be resolved early next week.. The statement read "Dundee fc can confirm that the monthly payement of salaries due to all employees has been delayed as a result of ongoing discussions between the club,its financial advisors and key stakeholders. These discussions will continue over the next few days with the intention of achieving a satisfactory solution for everyone concerned.At this stage the club cannot make any further statement but would take this opportunity to thank all staff for their patience in this difficult situation" Harry MacLean was unable to elaborate on the circumstances behind the latest bombshell for the dens park club,but did express his desire that the staff be paid as soon as possible. "If you go to work you expect to be paid for it,so the sooner this is fixed the better for everybody concerned" "The manager is in an impossible position because he has to go and tell players they're not getting paid,before getting them up for the match on saturday" "But its not just the players who havn't been paid,there are othershere not getting paid ,but im delighted with the response of the staff,who are getting on with their jobs,unfortunatley,people have mortages and bills to pay,so the sooner this is sorted the better for everyone"
