Scotland Under-21 striker David Goodwillie is well aware of the significance of Monday's European Championship play-off clash with Iceland.[LNB] Billy Stark's youngsters are 2-1 down from the first leg in Reykjavik on Thursday night but hope to retrieve the deficit to make the finals for the first time since 1996.[LNB]The Dundee United hit-man, 21, says that he is ready to impress at Easter Road.[LNB]"It's probably one of the biggest games of my career," he said.[LNB]"It would be a very proud moment if we managed to get through. It would mean everything to me.[LNB]"Everyone would love to play in the finals of a championship.[LNB]"The senior team don't really get to them these days but hopefully it will pick up and people will see the younger teams progressing.[LNB]"We were told by the boss that we hadn't been to the finals since 1996 so it would be nice to get back on track.[LNB]"I don't think it's pressure, everything is a bonus for us right now.[LNB]"It's been great to even get to this stage.[LNB]"I wouldn't want to jinx things but I think we have a strong chance.[LNB]"Iceland are good going forward but I think their defence could be broken down if we put pressure on them."[LNB]While the feeling is the tie has moved towards Scotland, Stark was eager to stress the threat the visitors will pose.[LNB]"I think it will be a really difficult task for us," he said.[LNB]"On reflection, 2-1 over there was a really good result because they put us under pressure.[LNB]"The comforting thing is we know we can play better.[LNB]"Against that we have seen how potent and powerful they are going forward and we will still have to cope with that.[LNB]"We have to be aware that they are really dangerous, full of quality and pace and it would be naive to think we would be able to go through the game without having to defend.[LNB]"But we intend to put them under more pressure than we did at their place, that's for sure[LNB]"But it's a big thing for us and we are going to give it our best shot."
