Dundee missing duo

Stephen O'Donnell and Craig Beattie are both absent as Dundee look to establish a three-point gap at the top of the Championship with a win over Raith.

Paul Hartley's men currently lead Hamilton on goal difference and will look to take full advantage of their game in hand against Rovers.

But Dundee will have to do it without O'Donnell and Beattie, who both have knee problems, though Kevin McBride could return to the side after missing the 2-0 win at Livingston on Saturday through illness.

Manager Hartley said: "This will be a tough game as Raith will be coming here boosted by winning against Morton at the weekend. We have responded well to the set back at Cowdenbeath a few weeks ago and are looking solid at the back and creative up front."

Raith head to Dens Park on the back of their first win in 11 league games, when they came from behind to defeat Morton on Saturday.

Greig Spence came off the bench to score both goals in the 2-1 success and could now start, while Ross Callaghan and Calum Elliot are both in with a chance of playing after recovering from their respective injury problems.

Manager Grant Murray said: "Greig has been patient but he reminded us what he can do well at the weekend.

"Dundee away is a tough game especially as they are looking at this game as a chance to get a lead at the top but we won there in the Scottish Cup."
