Dundee stretched for cup tie

Dundee have ruled out Nicky Riley (knee) as they meet Forfar for the second time in a week, while Stephen O'Donnell remains sidelined due to his long-term knock.

The Dark Blues also have doubts over Kyle Benedictus and Iain Davidson as they look for a repeat of their recent 3-1 Ramsdens Cup success.

Manager John Brown said: "Forfar are a strong side who gave us a few problems last week. I expect them to make things difficult again so we will need to work hard to get on top of them.

"We cannot just turn up and expect to win as we won last week."

Forfar welcome back experienced campaigner Darren Dods after suspension, but knee injuries keep Mark McCulloch and Keith Gibson out of the action.

The Loons are on a four-game winless run and manager Dick Campbell hopes heading to Dundee looking for revenge will help his men to end that sequence.

Campbell said: "We gave them a real scare so we can travel with confidence. We did really well to beat Rangers in the last round, however we haven't been able to build on it.

"Hopefully the chance of revenge for last week's defeat will see us pull off another great cup result."
