Duo out for Dundee

Table-topping Dundee are without Iain Davidson and Craig Beattie when they welcome Dumbarton.

Davidson is suspended while Beattie has been ruled out for three months with a knee injury.

The recent home defeat from Cowdenbeath could help Dundee in this one, with assistant manager Ray Farningham saying: "That game showed that there are no easy games in this league and if you do not perform to a high enough level you can come a cropper.

"It was only a fortnight ago and is fresh enough in everyone's minds to be a reminder of what can happen. Dumbarton are a good counter-attacking side and we have to be ready."

The Sons head to Dens Park with only midfielder Scott Agnew missing due to a groin injury and on a high after defeating Hamilton last weekend.

Manager Ian Murray said: "We are on a tough run of games against the three top sides in the league - Raith Rovers, Hamilton and Dundee. We have picked up three points which is probably three more than anyone would have predicted, so we can go to Dundee with our heads held high.

"There is no pressure on us after a great result and performance against Hamilton, so we can take the field at Dens Park without any fear."
