Dundee United manager Peter Houston asks fans to stick by his side after draw with Kilmarnock

Dundee United manager Peter Houston has appealed for his supporters to stick by his side after Friday night's 3-3 SPL draw with Kilmarnock. The United boss was reacting to criticism which came from the stands before his side completed their spirited fight-back thanks to captain Jon Daly's header in injury-time, denying rivals Kilmarnock third place in the SPL. Houston said: "There was some stick coming from the supporters which I have to say was a bit disappointing considering how we played overall. "We played some really good football and scored some goals to match. I expect a bit more support to be honest when you see 11 guys out there fighting for the cause the way they did. "They always give everything and are a very honest bunch of players. I asked them at half-time to show a wee bit of character and they certainly did. "I felt we were totally dominant in the second-half which speaks volumes for the lads' attitude. "We got the goals which we deserved and to come from 2-0 down against a side like Killie isn't an easy thing to do."
