Burchill downs Dee

Scottish Championship leaders Dundee saw their run of three successive wins come to an abrupt end as Mark Burchill's early goal gave Livingston a 1-0 victory.

The much-travelled 33-year-old struck 11 minutes in to give the visitors a lead they would hold on to for the rest of the contest when he headed in Mark Scott's corner from close range.

Livi pushed for a second goal straight away yet a counter attack culminated in Keaghan Jacobs dragging his effort wide after Stefan Scougall had sparked the break.

Dee produced some good chances to enter the break level, though, yet Ryan Conroy was twice denied by goalkeeper Darren Jamieson, first directly from a corner and then brilliantly in a one-on-one situation.

Martin Scott went close for the Lions in the second period and they looked increasingly likely to add another with Scougall prodding just wide, but in the end Burchill's early strike proved enough.
