Dundee boss Jim Duffy admits that he would love to sign Juventus and Holland star Edgar Davids, but he isn't getting his hopes up.
Responding to media reports that the Dark Blues were preparing a bid for the midfielder Duffy admitted that he had discussed the player with director Giovanni di Stefano but claimed that was as far as the matter had gone.
"He is a player that will be out of contract at the end of the season and his name did come up in conversation," he revealed.
"Giovanni asked me about him and I agreed that he was a very good player and one that any manager would like to add to their squad.
"We have an important European tie coming up and I would prefer to be talking about that rather than this player or that player coming to the club."
