Webster worry for Saints showdown

The centre-back was replaced by Darren Dods 14 minutes into United's 4-1 victory over the Bairns on Sunday.[LNB]United are waiting to see if the problem settles down but caretaker boss Peter Houston is anxious over the lack of central defenders with Lee Wilkie still out with a knee injury.[LNB]"Webster was feeling his calf and I think we got him off before he has actually torn his calf muscle," Houston said.[LNB]"It's always a worry because Webby has been sensational since he came and we have another couple of games this week.[LNB]"I don't know how he'll be for Wednesday but credit to Darren Dods who got left out but came on and did his job.[LNB]"The worry is we're down to two centre-halves in the club."[LNB]Houston also took off midfielder Prince Buaben and striker David Goodwillie but they are expected to make the Tannadice clash.[LNB]"Buaben came off with an injury as well, his thigh was a bit sore and we got him off before it pulled," Houston added.[LNB]"David Goodwillie has taken a lot of knocks in the last couple of games and we took him off but that was more of a precaution."[LNB]Meanwhile, Houston backed former Falkirk team-mate Eddie May to turn the club around after their disappointing display led to a mass exodus of fans well before the final whistle.[LNB]"Eddie has done a smashing job," Houston said. "It's an excellent football club and he is rebuilding it.[LNB]"It's going to take a wee bit of time and the punters will just need to recognise that. Rome wasn't built in a day."[LNB][LNB]
