United snap up Van der Meulen
Dundee United have confirmed the signing of former Ajax defender Timothy Van der Meulen on a short-term contract.
The 20-year-old joins until the end of the season, subject to international clearance, following a successful trial.
Manager Peter Houston said: "I am delighted to have secured the signing of Timothy. He has impressed me in training and he has shown me he is a good footballer.
"I see him as one for the future but also believe he can step into the first team in the near future if required.
"The length of the deal gives us a chance to see Timothy play in a few games before committing to a long-term deal."
