The Clydesdale Bank Premier League matches at Dundee United and Motherwell have been postponed because of bad weather. Dundee United's SPL game against Rangers was the first to go on Sunday morning and has been called off due to severe weather conditions. The match, scheduled to take place at Tannadice at noon, was subject to an 8am pitch inspection. According to Rangers, "snow overnight made the pitch at Tannadice unplayable and driving conditions treacherous". The clash between Motherwell and Hearts has also been postponed. A club official said the match had been called off because of safety fears over the approach roads around Fir Park.
