Robertson keen to hit Accies with early goal

David Robertson insists the key to playing against Hamilton is to hurt them before they get the chance to frustrate you. The Dundee United midfielder is gearing up to face Accies on Thursday in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League and knows the first goal will be crucial in deciding the outcome. United conceded the opener against Billy Reid's men a fortnight ago and, despite dominating the game, could only come away from New Douglas Park with a draw. Accies have made a habit of getting under United's skin at Tannadice in recent seasons, so Robertson knows scoring the opening goal would have a massive impact on the flow of the game. "The big thing when you are playing a side like Hamilton is scoring first and early on if possible," he said. "I think that's especially the case at home. "They will have a game-plan to come here and sit in, with probably just one up front so we know what to expect."
