Robertson handed Tannadice chance

Dundee United have offered a trial to former striker Jordan Robertson following his release from prison. The 23-year-old, who in October 2009 was sentenced to 32 months in jail for causing death by dangerous driving, spent a season on loan at Tannadice while Craig Levein was manager. With Jon Daly sidelined, boss Peter Houston could turn to Robertson to bolster his striking options. He said: "He wants to try and get his career back on track, and start playing football again. "He isn't with a club and we'll see how he is in training, and if he's any good then we'll sit down and talk."
