Langfield primed for boo boys

The Aberdeen goalkeeper claims he "loves" the stick he gets at Tannadice and he is determined to have the last laugh by exiting the field with the New Firm bragging rights.[LNB]Langfield has yet to finish on the winning side for the Dons in an SPL game in the City of Discovery, though he has tasted Scottish Cup success there.[LNB]Having begun his career at United's neighbours Dundee before eventually ending up at Pittodrie, the 30-year-old knows he will always be the pantomime villain whenever he runs out at Tannadice.[LNB]"I get stick all the time when I go down there, every time I play Dundee United, and it doesn't bother me one bit," Langfield told RedTV.[LNB]"I love it. I used to be a Dundee player and now I'm an Aberdeen player and I still get the stick.[LNB]"But I'll just get on with it, I'll smile back at the them, and hopefully at the end of the day I'll be smiling with the right result."[LNB]Langfield will be happy just to get the game played after the big freeze claimed Aberdeen's last two matches.[LNB]He echoed the "frustration" of everyone who has seen fixtures postponed in the last fornight but is determined to look on the bright side of the Dons having games in hand over some of their rivals.[LNB]"That's the pleasing aspect and it's games that we'll look to win, especially with the teams we've got to play," he said, referring to rearranged matches against St Mirren and Falkirk.[LNB]"If we can get a nice wee run going as well just now over the new year period, I'm sure the rearranged games will help us even more to get up the table."[LNB]United recently lost manager Craig Levein to the Scotland job and caretaker boss Peter Houston oversaw a 7-1 drubbing by Rangers on Wednesday.[LNB]Aberdeen, meanwhile, are looking to end a run of three straight defeats and Langfield is determined to make it another uncomfortable afternoon for the home side tomorrow.[LNB]"Peter Houston's obviously well respected at United, he's been there with Craig Levein," he said.[LNB]"The United players will probably hold him in the same regard as they did Craig.[LNB]"But obviously it's up to us to go there and make it as difficult as possible for them and I'm sure we can do that.[LNB]"We've not had the best of runs at Tannadice lately but I think we can go down there and hopefully get the right result."[LNB]Presuming the match goes ahead, striker Lee Miller will finally be able to begin a three-match ban held over because of the recent postponements.[LNB]Langfield joked: "I've been giving him a bit of stick saying it could be May by the time he gets back playing if the games keep on getting called off."[LNB][LNB]
