Levein was confirmed as Scotland manager on Wednesday and his assistant Peter Houston will take charge of the United team in the interim period, starting with Saturday's SPL visit of Killie.[LNB]However, Jefferies does not believe the disruption to the Taysiders' camp will have any effect on the United players.[LNB]"We will prepare for the game as if Craig was still there," Jefferies said.[LNB]"The United players have got to get on with it and I'm sure that they will.[LNB]"We will face a tough match, United are a good team but we have a decent record up there and so look forward to it."[LNB]Jefferies' own name had been linked with the Scotland vacancy prior to Levein's appointment.[LNB]He said: "I wish Craig all the best in his new post.[LNB]"As I said last week, he ticks all the boxes.[LNB]"I think most people will be happy with the SFA's choice; he was the favourite for many people from the beginning and that proved to be right, so good luck to him.[LNB]"He will need to get results for everyone in Scotland, not just those who support Dundee United but he will know that."[LNB]Second-bottom Kilmarnock are only one point ahead of Falkirk after losing in dismal fashion to the Bairns at Rugby Park last week.[LNB]Jefferies was annoyed his side let slip a chance to move further away from the foot of the table but urged his players to get back on the winning track at Tannadice.[LNB]"The response in training from the players has been good," the former Hearts and Bradford boss said.[LNB]"We will see how we get on on Saturday.[LNB]"The players knew we had a good chance to increase the gap against Falkirk last week and we failed to do that.[LNB]"As usual at Kilmarnock, we will do it the hard way.[LNB]"We need to keep the standards up week in, week out and not just perform against the teams at the top end of the table."[LNB][LNB]
