The 3-3 draw with the Saints saw caretaker boss Houston's side move onto 38 points but drop to fourth place in the Scottish Premier League - a point behind Hibernian, who defeated Celtic 2-1 in Glasgow.[LNB]St Johnstone had raced into a two-goal lead thanks to goals from Peter MacDonald and Liam Craig.[LNB]However, United hit back in the second half through Jon Daly, Danny Swanson and Jennison Myrie-Williams before Kevin Moon grabbed a point for the Saints.[LNB]Houston was pleased with the way his side came back into the match in the second period.[LNB]He said: "The real Dundee United turned up in the second half.[LNB]"I had a blast at the players at half-time but they knew themselves that it wasn't good enough.[LNB]"The great thing is they went out in the second half and showed the punters who spent their good, hard-earned money to come and watch what they are all about. I thought we were brilliant in the second half."[LNB]He added: "It was the proverbial game of two halves. In the first half we never turned up and you start asking yourself if we need fresh legs but they answered me in the second half.[LNB]"I was actually happy to go in just 2-0 down at the break because we could have been out of the game.[LNB]"But that is a credit to St Johnstone as we know they are a good side and very well organised.[LNB]"They dominated us in the first half, especially in the middle of the park.[LNB]"However, I thought it was us that dominated the second half and that is great credit to my players."[LNB]St Johnstone manager Derek McInnes was proud of his players for their reaction to going 3-2 down after initially being two goals ahead.[LNB]He said: "I was delighted with the response from my players. At 2-0 we had chances to make it three which may have made the difference.[LNB]"You have to give credit to United for the way they came back at us but I have to give my players even more credit for coming back from 3-2 down at the death."[LNB]The Saints manager felt his side could have won the game if they had defended better.[LNB]He added: "I have played here and I know what it can be like shooting down that slope.[LNB]"We did to them what they did to us in the second half. We were a wee bit vulnerable at set-plays and I felt the free-kick they got that led to their first was soft.[LNB]"They always had a height advantage over us and when they scored their tails were up.[LNB]"Swanson's goal was unbelievable but I felt we could have closed him down quicker and then their third took a deflection on the way in.[LNB]"But I am happy with the way we came back at them after that."[LNB][LNB]
