Goodwillie out of Scotland U21 clash

The in-form Dundee United striker, who had started the opening two Group 10 games against Albania, fell ill on Wednesday. Goodwillie, 20, felt better on Thursday morning but Under-21 boss Billy Stark could not risk infecting the rest of his squad and travelled to Vienna without the forward. Speaking at Glasgow airport prior to the team's departure, Stark said: "Preparations have been pretty good but we have had a faller, David Goodwillie. "Unfortunately, he had a high temperature and a fever. "He's feeling a wee bit better this morning but we couldn't risk it spreading through the rest of the party." The loss of Goodwillie is a blow for Scotland, who are looking to maintain a 100% start to their qualifying campaign. Austria U21 4/5, Draw 12/5, Scotland U21 3/1
