Dundee's Europa League venue changed

Dundee United's Europa League clash with AEK Athens on Thursday is to be moved from the Olympic Stadium after the pitch was was deemed unplayable.

The Tannadice men travel to Greece a goal down from the first leg of their qualifier.

A statement on United's official website read: "The club has been contacted by AEK Athens to advise that Thursday night's Europa tie will be switched to an alternative venue in Athens, due to an unplayable pitch in the Olympic Stadium."

It continued: "Initially, it was mooted to sources that the tie would be moved to Volos - some 300 km away - but AEK have now informed the club that the match will take place in Athens, with further information expected later on Monday.

"As soon as this is received and confirmed by UEFA, we will update the website."
