Stenny leave it late Late goals from Eric Paton and Michael Hunter salvaged a point for Stenhousemuir as they drew 2-2 with Dumbarton. Patrick Walker almost opened the scoring for the visitors after 20 minutes but his curling free-kick rebounded off the post. Jon McShane broke the deadlock in the 50th minute when he fired into the bottom corner from six yards and put Dumbarton 2-0 ahead after 66 minutes converting from six yards after Alistair Brown had parried his initial shot. To make matters worse for Stenhousemuir, they were reduced to 10 men after 68 minutes when Iain Thomson was sent off for his second bookable offence. Stenhousemuir were offered a lifeline with 10 minutes remaining when Paton converted from the penalty spot after he was brought down by Andrew Geggan. The home side got their equaliser three minutes later when Hunter headed in from close range to earn the Warriors a vital point.
