Lister misses out

Dumbarton will be without banned striker Jim Lister when they entertain league leaders Morton.

Nicky Phinn and Bryan Prunty have shaken off calf injuries to be included, with Owen Ronald also available after overcoming a knee problem.

Manager Ian Murray is delighted to have a near full squad to pick from.

He said: "It is disappointing to be without Jim but this is the first time in my four months here that we have had no injuries.

"We are in good shape but Morton will be out to make up for our 3-0 win. If we play as well for the 90 minutes as we did in spells at Partick Thistle last weekend we have a chance."

Morton skipper Mark McLaughlin is a major doubt due to the knee injury he picked up in training last week.

Also missing for the Greenock men will be full-back Willie Dyer, who has dislocated a shoulder, with manager Allan Moore admitting that he has revenge in mind.

Moore said: "Dumbarton did a lot of damage to us in the New Year game and we want to make up for that.

"We were very good in the first half against Falkirk last Saturday and if we can do that for the 90 minutes in this game I am sure we will win.

"Archie Campbell and Peter MacDonald were great up front last weekend and if they click again they we will score goals."
