Midfield duo back for Sons

Dumbarton welcome back midfield pair Chris Turner and Mark Gilhaney after suspension as they meet Falkirk in the first of three consecutive home games.

Andy Graham's broken wrist keeps him out and Jamie Ewings is not available after a jaw injury, with player-manager Ian Murray again ruled out due to a lack of match practice.

Murray said: "This is a really important period where we have the chance to pick up nine points from home games but we face a difficult start.

"Falkirk have had two great results in a row and will be out for revenge for the win we had over them at Christmas time.

"We need to be at our best to give us a good platform for the games against Raith Rovers and Cowdenbeath."

Falkirk add new signing Ian Flannigan to their squad but they will be missing striker Sean Higgins through a leg knock as they look to secure a third consecutive win.

The Bairns are also looking for some revenge over the Sons, with technical director Alex Smith saying: "Dumbarton's great run of results and move up that table began against us with a 4-3 win in a pretty crazy game at our place.

"We had a man sent off and went from one up to 4-1 down in the space of 10 minutes.

"That ruined a decent run we were on then of four wins in a row so after battling hard and playing well to defeat Dunfermline and Livingston. We do not want Dumbarton to bring this run to an end."
