Linton rated 50-50
Dumbarton defender Scott Linton faces a late fitness test ahead of the visit of Championship leaders Dundee.
If he passes it the fifth-placed Sons will be at full strength.
Manager Ian Murray said: "We played well last weekend against Cowdenbeath and won 5-1 and it would be great to take that form into this game. We are at the stage of the season where every point is vital but we know Dundee will be thinking this is a must-win game as well.
"They beat us 3-0 at their place in the last game and there was never three goals in it. We owe them for that."
Dundee midfielder Stephen O'Donnell has been ruled out with a knee injury, however Kevin McBride could return after illness.
Steven Doris, Christian Nade and Craig Beattie are all in the running for starting places after recovering from injury.
Manager Paul Hartley said: "A lot of people were disappointed when we drew with Raith Rovers in midweek but we should not be getting too down. We are top of the league and should be enjoying that especially as we have had five clean sheets in six games."
"That defensive record will be tested by a Dumbarton side that can score goals but we are looking forward to it."
