Lister leads Dumbarton to victory

A James Lister hat-trick inspired Dumbarton as they came from two goals down to record an important 4-2 home victory over Raith.

The match got off to a lively start and the visitors were ahead inside four minutes - Greig Spence firing home from 12 yards to cap an incisive Raith counter attack.

Grant Anderson doubled their lead after 25 minutes with a right-footed strike from the edge of the penalty area, before Lister gave the Sons hope of a comeback with a close-range effort in the 36th minute.

And it was Lister who levelled matters nine minutes after the break when he met a well-placed Paul McGinn cross to apply the finish on the edge of the six-yard box.

Dumbarton were ahead for the first time in the match just six minutes later, when Scott Agnew netted from the penalty spot after Bryan Prunty had been felled by Simon Mensing.

Lister then completed his hat-trick - and the hosts' remarkable second-half performance - six minutes from time, with a header from close range.
