Hibs' title hopes further dented after Dumbarton defeat

Hibernian saw their Ladbrokes Championship title aspirations suffer a further setback following a 3-2 defeat at Dumbarton.

The home side took the lead in the 20th minute when Kevin Cawley collected the ball and unleashed a 25-yard shot which flew into the bottom corner.

Former Hearts man Christian Nade doubled Dumbarton's advantage three minutes before the break, heading home a Mark Docherty cross.

It was 3-0 in the 48th minute when Darren Barr, another former Jambo, nodded in Calum Waters' corner.

Liam Henderson, who saw his fifth-minute volley hit the bar, pulled a goal back in the 57th minute with a curling effort into the top corner.

Substitute Farid El Alagui cut the deficit to one goal with 19 minutes remaining, ramming the ball home from a corner, but Hibs slipped to a second successive reverse.
