Dumbarton 1-2 Forfar: Match Report

25 January 2011 22:24
Quickfire goals snatch win for Forfar Forfar struck two goals in two minutes to claim a 2-1 win at bottom club Dumbarton. An upset looked on the cards when Pat Walker put the struggling hosts ahead with a cool close-range finish after 26 minutes. But Forfar, who have not played a league game since November, hit back in the second half to move into the top four. Mark Fotheringham hammered in a superb long-range strike in the 71st minute to spark the visitors into life. And there was barely time for Dumbarton to recover from that setback before Bryan Deasley lashed home the winner a minute later. Dumbarton, who beat Alloa 4-1 in their last match, showed some spirit in the closing stages but ultimately fell to their 13th defeat in 18 league matches.
