Livi are Kaned

A late goal from Chris Kane gave Dumbarton their first league victory of the season with a 1-0 win over Livingston.

Dumbarton, who went into the match pointless after losing all three of their matches, had the better of the chances in a drab first half with Colin Nish's header from a Scott Linton cross going just wide.

The second half was much livelier, with Livingston's Kyle Jacobs closest to breaking the deadlock early on with a powerful header slamming off the crossbar.

From then on, Dumbarton were much the better team, with Livingston goalkeeper Darren Jamieson forced into an array of impressive saves.

He was unable to keep out Kane's 89th minute winner, though, as he headed home Scott Agnew's cross after Livingston failed to clear from a corner.
