Doncaster Rovers number two Richard O'Kelly hailed the fighting spirit of his side after they clinched a crucial 1-0 victory at Bristol Rovers.
Paul Heffernan's early volley was enough for Donny to take all three points and move back into the automatic promotion spots in League One.
O'Kelly told the Bristol Evening Post: "We were very resilient, particularly in the second half and got in a number of last-ditch tackles.
"We have a few facial injuries and war wounds to show for our efforts and that is an indication of how well we battled.
"We'll have to wrap the players in cotton-wool between now and the weekend, because we have important games on Saturday and the following Tuesday."
