Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll was delighted to see his side keep their promotion challenge on track with a 2-1 home victory against lowly Gillingham.

Rovers were pushed all the way by the Gills, having been tested fully by rock-bottom Port Vale at the weekend, before edging home 2-1 in that game as well.

O'Driscoll told the club's official website: "I think that's two home games which were must-win games and we've come through with flying colours.

"They were difficult games, both teams have tried to stop us playing.

"It's difficult, we need to win these games, but we won't go out all guns blazing because you are scared of giving a goal away and getting caught on the counter-attack."
