Wellens cleared in spit probe

Doncaster Rovers midfielder Richie Wellens has been cleared following a probe into an alleged spitting incident involving Swansea City's Leon Britton.
Wellens was charged with improper conduct by the Football Association following a stormy encounter which Rovers lost 3-1 at the Liberty Stadium back in February.
However following a hearing on Tuesday, the 29-year-old midfielder has been cleared of any wrongdoing.
"We are pleased that this case as now been resolved and that we had a fair hearing by the FA," said Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll.
"We would have abided by any decision that the FA had come to, but now we can get on with the football."
