Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll hailed his squad after they ensured their Championship survival with a resounding 3-0 victory at Plymouth Argyle.

Rovers started the season with just one win in their first 16 league games, but have since turned their fortunes around in superb style and have made sure of their place in the second tier of English football for next season.

O'Driscoll told the Sheffield Star: "We were sitting at the bottom of the league and you couldn't help coming out of games and saying 'well played'.

"We were getting done by silly goals, a lack of concentration and all the daft little things you maybe get away with in League One.

"In this league you can't and we've adapted really well. We've played some good football and we've had some nice things said about us up and down the country.

"We didn't want nice things said and be out of the division, so it's a job well done from us."
