Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll added to his attacking options on the last day of the January transfer window by swooping for Tranmere's veteran striker Gareth Taylor.
The 34-year-old moves to the Keepmoat Stadium on loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent move.
"There were a couple of younger players that we talked about that could be for the future," O'Driscoll told Doncaster's official website.
"But Gareth, like Stuart Elliott, is experienced and has played at the top level.
"It also probably gives us something that, apart from Jason (Price) we haven't got. He adds to the squad and makes us stronger overall."
